Exploring Space and Future Careers: Year 10's Inspiring Workshop

20th Jun 2026

A note from Dr Hassan....

Yesterday, our Year 10 students took part in an excellent two-hour workshop delivered by a representative from the National Space Centre.

The session was highly engaging, with students building their own telescopes, examining Moon rock and meteorite samples, and creating mini oceans to understand how satellites monitor temperature changes. They also learned about the wide range of careers available within the space industry.

The representative commented that this was one of the best sessions they had delivered due to the outstanding engagement and enthusiasm shown by our students. Impressively, despite coming straight from a two-hour exam, students remained focused and actively participated throughout.

A huge well done to Year 10 for representing the school so positively.
