Curriculum

Image3To enter the Sixth Form, students should have achieved a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, preferably including English  and Maths, if intending to follow a Level 3 course.  Students choose up to four subjects for which they must meet the specific entry requirements.  We offer the opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), a great way to boost UCAS points and develop a higher level of independent study.

In Year 12, students also take a core ‘Ethics' course which is designed to help students assess and develop argument, understand ethical reasoning and decision-making and develop their critical reasoning skills. Throughout their time in the Sixth Form, students will attend a weekly assembly and learn to recognise and understand British values and how to build and maintain positive and safe relationships.

Any student who has not yet achieved a GCSE grade 4 in both Maths and English, continues to study these subjects.
