GCA Students Shine at Priory Park's 100th Birthday Celebrations

14th Jun 2026

The Friends of Priory Park celebrated the park's 100th birthday with a fantastic community event on Sunday. The centenary celebrations brought together local schools, bands and families for a fun-filled day of entertainment and activities.

Our GCA Year 7 cohort were delighted to perform a short scene as part of the celebrations. Inspired by the theme of 1980s and 1990s Haringey, the students explored iconic local and cultural influences, including Carter's Steam Fair and the Spice Girls. Through a vibrant rhythmic performance poetry piece, they brought the era to life with energy, creativity and confidence.

The students demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout the event and delivered their performance with great enthusiasm. They were a credit to the school and thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a special community occasion.

A huge well done to all of our talented GCA dramatists and thank you to the parents and families who came along to support them.

A very special thank you goes to Ms Robinson for all of her hard work, dedication and for giving up her Sunday to support the students and make this wonderful event possible. Her commitment and enthusiasm ensured that our students had an unforgettable experience and represented GCA brilliantly.

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved and honoured to have played a part in celebrating 100 years of Priory Park.
