13th Mar 2026On Wednesday, 10 students from year 7 went to Alexandra Park School to take part in an event to meet author Jewell Parker Rhodes.
American author Parker Rhodes was in the UK this week to promote the launch of the graphic novel version of her book "Ghost Boys". All year 7s have studied Ghost Boys in their English lessons.
Our students asked some insightful questions about the book, and listened attentively to the background of why and how the book was created. They were fantastic ambassadors for the school, and Jewell Parker Rhodes was delighted to learn we study her book.
