We are proud to celebrate Lam as GCA’s Artist of the Month for December. Lam has produced a powerful and thought-provoking series of portraits that explore themes of government censorship and freedom of expression. Her work demonstrates not only technical skill but also a strong conceptual vision, tackling complex social issues with courage and creativity.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Banksy, Lam incorporates bold visual language and symbolic elements into her compositions, creating pieces that challenge viewers to question authority and consider the impact of restricted voices. 

Lam’s willingness to take risks and address challenging themes exemplifies our department motto: “Creativity Takes Courage.” Through her dedication and approach, she has created artwork that inspires others to think critically about the world around them. We look forward to seeing how Lam continues to develop her artistic voice and push boundaries in her future projects.
