This week in Science Club, our fearless Lab Rats have been taking on the challenge of discovering how geckos’ sticky feet really work!

Instead of following the usual step-by-step instructions, our young researchers went full-on scientist mode, experimenting through trial and error, using only the materials they were given. The result? Some ingenious (and occasionally chaotic) discoveries about surface tension, friction, and adhesion!

However… it seems a few of our experiments were a little too successful. If you’ve spotted some unusually colourful patches outside the Science Department, that would be the aftermath of our enthusiastic investigations. We apologise for the new “decor”, but we like to think of it as a sign of scientific creativity in action.

Well done to all our curious Lab Rats, proving once again that great science can be messy, surprising, and loads of fun!
