This week, it was a real honour to spend the evening celebrating our incredible students at the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards.

We were absolutely delighted that GCA had a fantastic group of winners from Year 7 right through to Year 13. In fact, GCA had more award winners than any other school in Haringey – a wonderful achievement and something we are incredibly proud of!

Our Jack Petchey Achievement Award winners were:

We were also thrilled to celebrate Ayaz (7SD), who received the Environmental Award for raising awareness of climate issues and sustainability.

Each winner has been recognised for demonstrating one or more of the qualities that make our school community so special: exceptional attitude, remarkable resilience, outstanding character, and being a positive example for others to follow.

The Jack Petchey Awards are not about being the fastest, the smartest or the best. Instead, they celebrate young people who make a real difference through their actions. Winners may be recognised for helping others beyond expectations, being an inspiring role model or mentor, showing bravery, overcoming personal challenges, volunteering, working incredibly hard, breaking through personal barriers, or championing environmental sustainability.

As part of their award, each student received a prestigious Jack Petchey pin badge, a giant certificate, and, perhaps most excitingly, a £300 grant to spend on a GCA extra-curricular project that will benefit our school community.

Congratulations to every one of our award winners. You have made us all incredibly proud and are a shining example of the values we celebrate at GCA. We can't wait to see the difference your award projects will make!
