A note from Ms Axelrod...

Today, Year 9 attended a talk by Anita Peleg, a speaker from Generation2Generation, who spoke to the students about her mother's experiences during the Holocaust. This complements their studies in History. Students were captivated by Anita's storytelling and found out about her mother, Naomi's, life before WW2, during the Holocaust and afterwards. It was also fantastic to see students responding to Anita's questions with thoughtful confidence and showing their interest in the themes she spoke about in the Q and A. Naomi Blake settled in Haringey and was a celebrated local sculptor so it was fantastic for students to engage in local history.
