This course is the entrance to a successful career in the financial industry. Whether you want to work in a high street bank for an independent financial advisory firm you will gain all the relevant skills to deal with all matters about personal finance.

The course encourages students to become responsible borrowers and sensible savers, and to appreciate the need for financial planning throughout their life. It prepares them for further study by developing the core skills of critical analysis and evaluation, verbal communication (through classroom discussion) and written communication.

The DipFS builds on the skills and knowledge students gained when completing the Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS). It extends these to include areas such as sustainability in the wider financial services system, and the long-term effect of debt.

The course is assessed by 4 exams each year (2 multiple choice papers and 2 written papers). Is carries the same UCAS points as any A level, graded A*-E.
