The Tottenham Grammar School Foundation - for a) a £4000 grant to enable a group of students to visit CERN, The United Nations and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva; b) a grant for the school library; and c) significant grants for training in sailing.

The Tallow Chandlers, a City of London livery company - for its very generous  financial support to promote and develop the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM subjects) in the school. The funds are being used to:

  • Provide bursaries for the top performing Year 12 students in STEM subjects, worth £500 in Year 13 and a further £1000 in their first year at university.

  • Pay for transport for groups of students to visit universities and help raise aspirations.

  • Support individual students who want to visit universities to find out about STEM based degree courses.

  • Provide money for the professional development of teaching staff so as to improve the quality of teaching and learning in STEM based subjects.

  • Provide mentoring and support for individuals and groups of students who may want to work in finance, law, management consultancy and other areas in the City of London.

  • Match fund the City and Guilds donation for bursaries for apprenticeships.

  • Build a STEM lab.

In the first three years of their sponsorship the Tallow Chandlers gave the school £15,000 per year. For each year since then, the company increased the allocation to £27,500 per year. In addition they committed £50,000 to enable us to build our STEM Centre.

The Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers - for a £7000 contribution to the building of the STEM Centre.

Encouraging Equality - a Community Interest Company - for the donation of 10 laptops and a 3D printer to support remote learning and D&T project work.

The Jack Petchey Foundation – for inviting the school, year on year, to take part in its Achievement Award and Leader’s Award schemes as well as providing funding for extracurricular activities and valuable resources through its small grants scheme. We have had many worthy achievement award winners over the fifteenyears we have benefited from the scheme.

The Arkwright Scholarships Trust – with The Smallpeice Trust, STEMNET and the Nuffield Foundation, the Trust will deliver a programme to encourage more students who choose STEM subjects at GCSE to: study them at A level; consider a career in engineering; and aspire to, and achieve, a place at a respected engineering university or on a good-quality higher apprenticeship scheme. The programme includes: funding to be spent on equipment, materials or teacher CPD to enhance the teaching of subjects relevant to engineering; an in-school STEM day for classes in Ys10 and 11; visits by engineers to groups in Years 10 to 13; places for high-potential Y10s and 11s on Smallpeice summer residential technology courses; support for high-potential Y11s to apply for an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship; support for high-potential Y12s to apply for a Nuffield Foundation summer research placement.

Hornsey Parochial Charities - for supporting our roboteers' participation in an international robotics final in the States and supporting our World Challenge Team's expedition to Nicaragua.
