Gothic book cover competition – enter now!

17th Dec 2019

We are very grateful to Wordsworth Editions, a world-famous publishing house, for giving our students an opportunity to re-design two front covers for two of the most famous texts in print, Dracula and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.

GCA will send off the best 12 entries for the consideration of the Wordsworth Editions team. They will decide on a winner who will receive a £50 book token. £100's worth of books will also be donated to the school library.

In addition to this, Wordsworth Editions will have the winning image made up into the Wordsworth cover format and publicise this through their social media outlets.

It is even possible that if the winning entry is good enough, it will be used commercially on their next reprint. In this case the winner would receive £150 of book tokens and the school library £200.

The deadline for the competition will be the end of January 2020. Work can be completed at home and/or during supporting lunchtime workshops every Wednesday in CF01.

We hope you will enter and give it your best. You’ve got to be in it, to win it! If you’ve any questions or would like any guidance please don’t hesitate to ask Mr Chorley.
