Welcome to our library!

Are you new to our school?

Welcome! The library is for EVERYONE. The library is for YOU.

Do I have to 'join' the library?

No - once you are a student, you are a library user automatically.

Who works for the library?

We have two librarians - Ms Swinyard (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) and Ms Elliott (Tuesday). You can email Ms Swinyard if you have any questions about the library.

The library is open:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 8 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. - 4 a.m.

Thursdays 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

What happens in the library?

The library is a physical room in the heart of our school site, where we store books, magazines and other resources. It is also a study space where you may visit with a teacher or come in your free time for some peaceful reading or study time.

The library also exists as a community of students who love reading and learning. We have clubs, competitions, special events and space to meet like-minded students.

If I'm new to secondary school, what do you recommend I start with?

Join the free local Haringey council library too and take part in their national Summer Reading Challenge to read 6 books over the 6 weeks of holiday.

Here is a list of all our Haringey libraries. Once you join, you can use any branch as well as their online ebooks.

What do I have to look forward to in the library?

Why not have a look at what we get up to on the library Twitter feed?

Why not have a look at our Youtube channel?

Why not have a look at our Wakelet site?

We take part in BiblioBuzz: The Alexandra Palace Children's Book Award which you may recognize from Year 5 or 6. Find out more here.

You can earn credits for volunteering to help in the library in your free time, keeping the library tidy and running smoothly.

We also have visiting authors, trips, competitions, and lots of other fun things as well as reading lessons and a quiet space to get your homework done and find new books to read and enjoy.
