Greig's Show Racism the Red Card campaign was given a boost this year through a £1000 donation from Thornton's Budgens in Crouch End. Their Plastic for Pennies initiative generated the funds which helped our students once more take the message to Poland - and to many other venues - that racism has no place in sport or any other activity.
On Saturday December 4, Mr Malecki who leads on the Academy's campaign, and Sioxth formers Andre-Coombs-Lowe and Yusuf Serifi displayed photos of our footballers taking part in the Remes Cup in Poland outside Thornton's Budgens store in Crouch End. They also distributed leaflets to local people thanking the store and appealing for additional donations to keep this great campaign going.
Thanks to Andrew Thornton, owner of the store, for his contribution. Thanks also Ms McDonald for producing the leaflet and her help in the whole organisation.
