You'll remember that Mr Sutton, was awarded an OBE in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours in recognition of his outstanding public service in the field of education. Well on November 15, Mr Sutton went to Buckingham Palace to receive his medal from the Queen.
Here you can see Mr Sutton with his family after the ceremony (and, no, the Queen did not give him the teddy bear too).
Here's what Sheila Taylor, our Chair of Governors, said when we first heard of the award:
'My fellow governors join me in congratulating Paul on this
wonderful achievement which recognises his excellent commitment and
dedication to the thousands of students who have been in his care
during his career in teaching. We are all extremely proud of him.'
