Sixth Form

GCA offers a wide and interesting range of subjects to help you achieve your ambitions.  Level 3 courses need a great deal of commitment and you’ll be expected to read widely, conduct independent research, write essays and make presentations.  Courses all have different teaching approaches, some relying on academic techniques whilst others are very practical.  You need to consider all these points as well as your personal skills and qualities so as to make an informed decision.

You will enjoy studying in an exceptionally well-equipped environment.  In addition to nine ICT suites, extensive ICT resources are used across all curriculum areas.  Aspiring performers will gain performance and technical skills in our theatre and sound engineering studio.  You will conduct your independent study in a dedicated centre - soon to be extended to accommodate increased numbers - which offers pleasant areas for study and relaxation.

All students taking A2 examinations in 2008 gained the university place of their choice.  So why not follow in their footsteps?  Here's what one of our current students says:

"I stayed on at GCA because the subjects I wanted to study require a lot of hard work and concentration and the teachers here push me and keep me on track.  I'd like to read English at one of the top universities and the advice and help I am getting here is going to help me do that." Jay.

To find out more, download our 6th form prospectus from this site, call into the school to pick up a copy or call 020 8609 0171 to arrange a tour of the school and a chance to talk to students and staff.  We’re sure you’ll like what you see.

"The sixth form is an exciting place to be. [Students] gain immensely in confidence and self-esteem. Their personal development and well-being are outstanding. They contribute extensively to the school and show great commitment in the way they support the younger students as mentors, reading buddies, sports coaches and on residential trips."
