Haringey Gifted and Talented Summer School
August 2009GCA ran an extremely successful Textiles summer school in August 2009 on behalf of Haringey Council for students from all over the borough who are in the Gifted and Talented programme. The theme was Urban Style and, over 8 days, 36 students created and customised jeans, waistcoats, hats and masks for young people to wear during the day and for evening parties.
After all their hard work which you can see pictured here, they still had the energy to put on a fabulous fashion show for their families. With the help of GCA sixth formers and staff who did the make-up, arranged the music and created the choreography, they delighted the very appreciative audience with moves that would put Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell to shame. Congratulations to all of you and thanks to Haringey for the chance to run this fantastic activity.
