On Saturday, October 11, 16 GCA students, two mums and three members of staff and their families got together to create mosaics for the wildlife garden. In just three hours, we managed to produce three mosaics which will soon be up in the garden with the sunflower you can see here. In the afternoon, we installed five oak nature markers in the garden. Soon we'll have some extra benches and later in the year a totem pole carved by students. Year 10 students have planted bulbs so we should have plenty of colour in spring.
Thanks to the Big Lottery and B&Q both of which have helped fund this work. On October 23, Lynne Featherstone MP joined Jason from B&Q to present Greig with its One Planet Living Award for all our work on the nature garden. You can see some of the workers in the photos here.
