Sporting Success

- Kalum Alleyne, Malachi Brisseh, Dominique Njoja and Levi Hamilton training with Salisbury Town FC.
- Levi Hamilton and Yannick Radebe taking part in trials with Coventry City FC at the Ricoh Arena. Both Yannick and Levi have also taken part in trials at Norwich City FC and Boys and will be at Newcastle United in 2 weeks time. Both are doing very well.

In July 2008, 25 students took part in the Remes football tournament in Opalenica, Poland along with 200 other teams from all over Europe. Our students were the only non-white students taking part and many of the players from other teams said this was the first time they'd had contact with any groups other than white European.
All our students were supporting the "Show Racism the Red Card" campaign which has been taking place in the UK for a number of years now. They had a truly enriching experuience, enjoying the games and other activities, meeting people from different cultures but also spreading the word about the need to tackle racism in sport. And they made a very positive impression amongst all those taking part and their families. well done to all for being superb ambasssadors for Greig City Academy and their families.
